I thought I'd post up some videos here, from the time when Wan and Vic did their pembentangan. Four videos to be exact; two of Wan's with his mad skills of NOT using speech cards at all and two of Vic's speaking in standard Malay. HEHEHEHE. Way to go, Vic!

AJK Meeting

Dear AJKs,

There will be a meeting on Saturday 1st March 2008. The place is yet to be confirmed.
Time: 4pm-5pm.

(Biology students have a biology tutorial at 5-6pm.)

The agenda of the meeting is mainly about the jersey-making. To the guys or girls who have jerseys, please bring them. For sampling.

A story to share with you all

I know this is like totally not related to D&D activities, but just so we all know, some things are worth to think it over, reflect and learn. Doesn't matter if it is a knowledge we gain through studying or maybe just our daily activities. There is always a lesson learnt from whatever we do. Have a read at the story below:


My mom only had one eye. I hated her... she was such an embarrassment.

She cooked for students & teachers to support the family. There was this one day during elementary school where my mom came to say hello to me.

I was so embarrassed.

How could she do this to me?

I ignored her, threw her a hateful look and ran out.

The next day at school one of my classmates said, 'EEEE, your mom only has one eye!'

I wanted to bury myself.
I also wanted my mom to just disappear.
I confronted her that day and said, ' If you're only goanna make me a laughing stock, why don't you just die?'

My mom did not respond...
I didn't even stop to think for a second about what I had said, because
I was full of anger.
I was oblivious to her feelings.

I wanted out of that house, and have nothing to do with her.

So I studied real hard, got a chance to go abroad to study.

Then, I got married.
I bought a house of my own.
I had kids of my own.
I was happy with my life, my kids and the comforts, Then one day, my mother came to visit me.

She hadn't seen me in years and she didn't even meet her grandchildren.

When she stood by the door, my children laughed at her, and I yelled at her for coming over uninvited.

I screamed at her, 'How dare you come to my house and scare my children!' GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!!!'

And to this, my mother quietly answered, 'Oh, I'm so sorry. I may have gotten the wrong address,' and she disappeared out of sight.

One day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house.

So I lied to my wife that I was going on a business trip.

After the reunion, I went to the old shack just out of curiosity.

My neighbors said that she died.
I did not shed a single tear.
They handed me a letter that she had wanted me to have.

' My dearest son,
I think of you all the time. I'm sorry that I came to your house and scared your children. I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the reunion. But I may not be able to even get out of bed to see you.
I'm sorry that I was a constant embarrassment to you when you were
growing up.

You see........when you were very little, you got into an accident, and
lost your eye.
As a mother, I couldn't stand watching you
having to grow up with one eye.
So I gave you mine.
I was so proud of my son who was seeing a whole new world for me, in my
place, with that eye.

With all my love to you,
Your mother.'

Share this with everyone you know. Show them that we all love our mothers as much as we love ourselves.

If you don't then it shows you have no heart

Always tell someone that you love them because you never know what day
will be their last, or your own.

Always seek to resolve your problems or disagreements with loved ones
because if either of you should pass on before, the one who is left alive will have the rest of their life to ponder those unresolved feelings but will never find closure. And closure usually brings
peace.

Knowledge does not varnish except when it is kept secretly.

Ladies and gents,

I'm proposing that we make an account for our society. For safety reasons, of course. Wan actually thought about it. So, those who think this is a good idea, say 'Aye'... Aye~! Hehe. No, seriously though... If you guys think otherwise, let me know.

If everyone agrees, we'll be using the Treasurer's HSBC account. We'll call it the D&D Fund Account. This is where your monthly $10 will be kept.

Its how we roll.

I'll say this once, and I'll probably say it again and again, the D&D's are a crazy bunch. I swear, we can make anything remotely innocent into something NOT. Cos thats how we roll. For example, this afternoon. With Hiongie, Wan, Mus, Anis and Arin. Ohmygoodness. We laughed so much during Wan's act, and then laughed some more, its non stop. :3 I likey likey. Hehehehehe.

I think, some of our mannerisms and habits are rubbing off each other. I swear. Like melatah-ing, Mukee, Anis, Wan and I do it, and its crazy. And Ziman's 'buyoyo', we do that too, and oh, Wan's habits paling banyak kana ikuti for some reason. His 'deh' and his 'buyoyo' and his lintang pukang English in text messages and when speaking. Lol And some of us even sound like each other. XD Yep, we are a tight knit group till we all sound and act like one another. Hee~

Moving on.

Hiong suggested we nicknamed each other and I already have mine from the beginning: Mommy. Thats going to stick till forever. Sigh. I can live with it, I suppose. And Hiong just told me, Yat's the daddy, lol. We'll see what will surface from that.

you just can't get enough of us

Now is the time for me to express how I felt during the D & D Society official launching night. As most of us have known, it was the most memorable and fantastic launching night we've all ever had. We wished that the night would last longer but time was a little too constrained on us. Nonetheless, by the end of the night every one of us went home with a big smile on our faces, carrying with us the most precious memory we will treasure for the rest of our lives. It amazed me more by the fact that all the members made a charming effort to dress superbly gorgeous to the launching, thus making the atmosphere more lively and real for such occasion. Everyone was looking all handsome and pretty and even more amazingly having a great time joking and laughing, the food was super delicious and of course, the cameras never fail to capture every single happy faces of the D & D-ians. Embarrassing even. Anyhush here we are already..and our friendship have already grown this close as a family, through the highs and the lows, even for just a mere seven months. Fellow D & D-ians.. You guys are my life, my family, my best friends and my loves~~ I heart you all.


Anyway.. since most of the pics from the launching night were already posted by Chique, Lee & Arin, I think I want to post some random pics from today.. hehehe

NBT Chinese New Year's display~

Ladies and gents,

The taking of pictures at the above venue will be held on Wednesday, 7:30 p.m onwards. Still not sure what the exact time will be. Point is, it's this Wed Night, 20th Feb. Okay? Tehee. We'll be meeting up at the guy's hostel that night and from there, off to Gaydong.

A first official meeting MAY BE held that night. So, secretaries, you know your jobs. Be prepared.

If there are any changes, you will be informed.
