This blog is dead. Haha. We're all so busy, no one's managing this blog. I'm trying to update my personal blog as well but work just keeps piling up! The mid-semester break is here and soon will end (BOOHOO), so what have we all been doing?

Let's see, we played netball. We had a cooking party at my place which only some people manage to come, but its okay, you guys all have other things to do. And ooooh, last February we celebrated our 1st Anniversary and welcomed our new members into the family. :DDDDD

I'll upload pictures soon, I need the ones from Zaty too! Zaty, if you're reading this, hehehe. Pictures, darling ku.

Anyway, we haven't introduced our new members yet, I'll leave that to either Hiong or Arin to post them up. We're changing the pictures on the side too. :D

Again, apologies for not updating, but the others should update too and not just leave it to the avid bloggers such as yours truly (heh heh heh).

I notice that we all rarely hang out together, and I do mean all of us, and I kinda miss it. But hey, we all have our own lives to live, and classes to go and we all can't be together at the same time anyway due to clashing classes.

I've been rambling on and on, but its an update nevertheless, kan, kan, kan?

I'll update some more later, or at another date.

Hello hello helloooooo people of D&Ds~!

How is everybody? We made plans about making hoodies for ourselves. Is it still on? If it is... please holler some suggestions and ideas of what the design should be like and places where it can be made.

There's this place in Qlap with awesome designs. It's called Artly. I asked for an estimation of a hoody and he said it's $40. Pricey? Yes... But if we could make more hoodies, lets say 20-30 of them, dapat kurang boss! So... to ALL D&Ds, how about making them? If you want to make them for your significant other pun, CAN!=)

Hopefully most of us can make it. You can bring anyone you like. The more, the merrier:) I was thinking a sungkai buffet at Mutiah (not sure if this is the right name of the restaurant but it's somewhere behind FitnessZone at Qlap) OR LaMee at $6 per head for the buffet.... Let me know by Monday (tomoro) people... Which day and where...

Ladies, we bought our kains today. Each pasang is $32. We decided to go with the second choice. There wasn't enough stock for the first choice. Bummer, I know. But the second one is the next best thing. I hope you all are fine with it.

Hari Raya Uniform? Make your pick!=)

Ladies, these are 7 samples of kains for you girls to pick from. It is sort of for our 'uniform'. Tehee. Kain sekayu tani for raya this year. Since we decided on brown, here are a few brown kains we found today. I'd like to know your opinions on any of the kains. By the way, the material is either washable silk or chiffon.

The price of the material is less than $40. So set a budget of $40 for the material.

I personally like the first two kains. ;) Please let me know what you girls think ASAP because we plan on buying the material by end of this week.

This has different tones of brown. The chiffon + kain biasa is $30 sepasang. (Good bargain.) But the problem with this material is that it is a brand new design and it's off the market pretty fast since it is in high demand.

This is dark brown chiffon with green and orange. This is my second choice. Lawa~! The price is $8 per meter. Which equates to $32 sepasang.

These kains below are priced ranging from $28 to $30+ sepasang (4 meters):

This is brown+light blue. The flowers are not too crowded though.

This is the first brown chiffon we found after surveying a few shops. It's not bad. The flowers are quite sparse. Simple.

This is grey plus brown.

Sorry for the low quality pictures, girls. I didn't bring my camera along. Had to use my phone camera only.

Hello fellow D&D-ians! Today is the last day of July. (Duh~ Obviously...) I just thought today is the right day to tell you guys changes that will take place as of August.

1. We won't be calling ourselves the 'D&D Society' anymore. We are, as of tomorrow, the D&D's. Simple. That's what we are.What D&D stands for shall remain between us only. It's just a change of name but we're still the same;) We are still a family.

2. The monthly payment of $10 for the D&D fund will be reduced to $5 only. And of course, the $1 collection for the D&D Hotline is still a must.

I am still open for new ideas and more participation from D&D members. Semester starts this Monday. I'll see you all on Monday then. We shall have a meeting soon. I have a lot more to say about our group. But nothing is coming to mind at the moment. I'll keep you posted!;)

First of all, THANK YOU to those who helped with the preparations for GameNight, the lil project we planned for Arin and also with the cleaning up afterwards. You know who you are;)

It was our very first GameNight! Thank you to those who came and helped me make this lil gathering happen! It was like a reunion for some of us. Even people who aren't D&D-ians came. Qilah, Lisyah, Filah, Hazirah, Qayyum, Beyh and Rooney! Just thought I'd mention you guys on this blog of ours. Tehee. Hope you guys had fun!

GameNight. It was about playing games... be it mind games (Lisy, I still can't figure the point of your mind game! Grrr.... Green Glass Door. SOOOOOO??? *scratch head* TELL ME! Hehe), board games, word games and more... There's food and drinks and chattering. A night of FUN. It could be a way of blowing off some steam or relieving some stress. It's only 'happening' if there are more people! So, next GameNight... ramei ramei tani lagi. Tehee.

OGDC-UBD Tech Challenge - what actually happened

The OGDC-UBD Tech challenge was held on 6th June 2008. The D&D team gathered as early as before 9am in the Chancellor's Hall. It was a very exciting challenge and to be very frank, I doubt very much that our team would finish till the end. But never try, never know. What do you know? We actually made it till the very end

There were two parts to the challenge. The first part we were required to build a rocket carrying a passenger. The passenger : an egg. The materials provided are : an empty coke bottle, a card board, a piece of manila card, 4 satay sticks (whatever the name is ), a pair of scissor and masking tape.

Do not underestimate the look of our rocket when you finally get to see them. It may look pathetic but our rocket manage to fly of second furthest and I think, we didn't break the egg. Did I tell you that the egg was ermm unboiled egg? as in raw egg? uhuhuh~

So anyway, when we were given our first challenge, I was totally clueless of what to do but thanks to Wan and Chim with their ideas, we managed to built the rocket all by ourselves in 30 minutes! Amazing right? hehe~

When we brought it out for launching, I was really nervous whether our rocket would even launched. The first team (whom I didn't get to know the name of their team, but it was LcK's team right?) launched their rocket and trust me, I was awestruck when their rocket flew off the furthest and everyone was clapping their hands saying that they surely win that first challenge already. Then the second team launched, and it was not too bad. The rocket did flew off but it was less than 3 metres away. Then the third team was one of our Chem coursemate's group. Even their's did not fly off far. About two metres.

Then came our turn. D&D's turn. There Wan got ready to lauch the rocket. First few attempts but the rocket did not fly and i almost thought there were some faults in our rocket. Rupanya it was the OGDc punya air launcher (whatever the name is, again-.-)

so in the end they had to use manual pump or whatever~ so finally our rocket did fly! It flew awesomely quite far! Second furthest to be exact! it was about 5 or 6 metres away from the launching position! woohoo~

Anyhoops, later we were all told to go back into the chancellor's hall for our second challenge. This time the task was to built a strong dome using nothing but newspapers and cellotape. The dome must be strong enough to hold few kilograms of weights and the diameter of the dome should not be less than 15 cm and the height of teh dome should not be less than 10 cm.

So again we set off to work in 30 minutes. We spent the longest time building the bone structure. We need to calculate the base area, the height of the dome, the maximum radius of the dome etc etc. So here was our final measurement.

Radius of Dome = 15 cm (Diameter = 30 cm)

Height of Dome = 20 cm

again, I'm telling you do not underestimate the look of our dome when you see it. It may look sadly pathetic again but honestly, we actually passed all the weights. No wait, what I'm trying to say is that our dome manage to withstand the maximum weights! I think the total weight was 7.5 kg and we passed that! D&Dians, be proud with us! we didn't embarrass you guys especially when we were wearing D&D jersey then! woohooo

So yea, by the end of the challenge the winners were announced and sadly, D&D was not in the top three. But we tried our best, really. If only we had someone else too capture everything that we were doing that day *ahem*zatil inda mau datang support kami yuu~*ahem* then you guys would have seen how much the four of us worked as a team. Congratulations you guys, we did great although we didn't win.

We can try again next year!

Here is what I think…

History and basis of forming:

We, the D&Ds now, have known each other since the early semester of our Uni life. We didn’t have a name just yet, it wasn’t even in our heads, well, maybe some…We hung out together in UBD and out of UBD so much that we have become so close, not only everyone clicks, we share the same interest: to have fun and be together because we enjoy each other’s company.

We even helped each other out when it’s needed. The time spent so much with just us together has made many of us realize how somewhat special we are as a whole. This *unity for so long* has sparked an idea to actually name ourselves…The D&D society.

Terminology:

D&D can only be revealed to members exclusively.
Society: Doesn’t mean that we are big, like a company or an organization, society was chosen simply because it fits us, and it’s fancy.

Progress since formation:

.The D&D has now a hierarchal ladder, consisting of the President, VP, Secretary, Treasurer and The Members. The main objective is to maintain, learn about responsibility and be more organized.
.Several hanging outs, outings.

Generalisation:

We exist simply because we enjoy each others company and to whatever each individual in this Society wants to achieve, he/she can share it with no hesitation, and we can be there for you.

And I, the Co-VP, personally think that whatever we do, what we are trying to portray is that whatever comes in our life, we can show that we are still able to be together, within this Society where many of us are of different background. Indirectly, the hierarchy allows us to discipline ourselves and get used to have responsibilities. But the existence of this Society is not to train leaders or anything of the sort, we just think of what is best for us in general, and with agreement with others, we get on with it, just so we could live our lives better.

For now, we just simply are a group of people enjoying each other’s company. And there has yet many more to be done, and I personally welcome new ideas. And with that, new people too…Since, New people = More ideas.

The path this Society will take will depend on what we, ourselves, want

mI know I should just post this up on my personal blog, but seems like what I'm going to write relates mostly to what I would be doing and it might affect my activities with the D&D so I thought I'd post it up here instead. And oh~ at least I am making this effort to update this blog. YAY ME!

and also, I'd love to share my piece of thought for you guys.

see, I noticed that this long holiday we haven't go far with our activities. Most of us are still rather tired (especially those of you who had just came back from Patoi, I'd have to say congratulations that you all made it through! =D) and some of us are rather busy with our daily lives (errands, chores etc etc) or in my case, working. That's ok everyone, have a good rest=) and don't forget to exercise, just simple moves like this will do:

As of now, my job as research assistant at IM is less busier. So to you guys who don't know what I'm doing these days, basically I am, now, an on-call research assistant, which is quite a rare occasion for any research assistant because unlike all the other research assistants, I am the only one who can come to the IM office and leave after one hour if i have no work to do there. See being research assistants requires us to come to the office and basically work office hours (like in government office hours), five days a week. Not in my case anymore

Over the course of last week, out of the 5 working days, I only reported for duty 4 out of 5 working days. And of the four, I only actually really worked 1 out of the 4 days. The 3 days of reporting to duty was just spent on surfing the internet in the office and reading related articles based on the research that I am helping with now or .

The other one day that I said I "actually really worked" was spent at the animal house. In that one day (or one and a half hour of my morning to be precise) I was asked to change the fixative liquid (that's formalin) in the tubes containing each rat's organs. So yea, 43 tubes containing rats' organs in one and a half hour. You think that was easy job? Sure it was, but the smell was unbearable

and the last day Saturday, I didn't come to the office at all because I was given off day by my supervisor cool kan? i didn't even do much work and I was still given off day.

Anyhoops, yesterday morning I went to report for duty again at the IM office. I reached there at 8.45am and left at 10am. Only after I met my supervisor and he told me to be on-call and I do not have to report every morning to the office unless called. Somehow, being on-call thingimajigger makes me feel like I'm a doctor!

That was my morning work.. easy peasy huh? huhu~

On a different occasion, I am still working as a tuition teacher, in the afternoon and at night. You may think that I am crazy to still be able to handle two work at the same time. I have to admit, at one point, I could be very exhausted. But thanks to all the support that I received, I managed to carry on.

To be honest, I told you guys last time that I couldn't bear to teach Chemistry A-Level anymore right? I even said something like I wanted a new teacher to replace me in June, and that was at the beginning of April when I said all that. Guess what? I am still teaching A-Level Chemistry until now and believe it or not I have never enjoyed my work as much as I am now.

And to date, I have more students coming to my PMB form 3 Mathematics class. Initially I started with 6 students in that PMB class, and that was in mid-April. Then the population just got bigger after that...to 8 students. By the end of May, I have 11 students in my PMB class

As of last Friday afternoon (6th June at 3.30pm) I have an additional two more students coming into my PMB class. So that makes it 13 students. And the maximum number of students per class is suppose to be 10 students. By the end of the class (6th June at 5.00pm), I was informed that I have an additional six more students coming into the class.

Two out of the six's are form 3 students, three our of the six's are form two students and the last one is a form one student. Do the math people, I have 19 students in total now(and they are all in PMB form 3 class-.-). How am I going to accommodate 19 students in a class? The easier solution was to open a new timetable. So, you guys I am back to working full day morning and afternoon every Friday and Sunday. And oh~ I have not include my other classes: the Chemistry A-Level class, the O-level Mathematics D and Additional Maths class.

So yes, responsibility talk is in. But I am not here to lecture you guys on all that. (what's the probability that all of you are going to read this anyway? I love to you see~ ahahah~)

Then again, being a "tuition" teacher does not mean you can take things easy. All teachers are the same, be it tuition or real school teachers. We are there to teach the students. They come to your class in the hope that you will educate them, help them, guide them and understand their difficulties. See there are always reasons for why students go for tuition (I am sure we all have gone through this), and being a tuition teacher, this is your responsibility: to help them but not them..XD (how lame can I get?)

Please do not think that you just work for the money or for the cuties in your class. Trust me, when I first started my work as a tuition teacher, I did not know how much I will be earning (ask the others, I really didn't know. But I was always thankful for what I earned)

A teacher must be professional in his/her own ways. You can be friends with your student but you need to keep to that boundary.

There is a fine line between a teacher and a student and if you ever cross that line, you will not gain the respect you used to gain as a teacher.

Remember when I told some of you that there was one student who said "OMG, teacher kan tuu?" when he saw me? Yes I got that a lot those days (and occasionally now and then) but as of now, most of the students greet me as a teacher when I see them, even those whom I did not even teach! It's quiet enjoyable you see~

And to tell you guys the real truth, I wouldn't have gone this far if it was not for my boss. Yes, he's a total inspiration and he is as close to all of us as a friend first rather than a boss. He motivates us and tries his best to attend to all our needs and dilemmas. He sees that his tuition school have manages this far and he owes it big time to the tuition teachers (he told me all these) and he never fail to greet us and talk to us if we ever need anything

What I saw in him was all the qualities of a good leader and yet he never really acknowledge his own success. See to him, he does not know what success is just yet but he has to keep discovering until he finally achieves his dream (which I am not sure whether I can write it down here=S). You won't believe how much I am inspired by my boss and motivated to keep trying, until you uys meet him and talk to him. I occasionally meet him for some consultation or just chats these days, surprising isn't it?

Am I not lucky to get this job? I learnt a lot from working as both a research assistant and tuition teacher, I've discovered a lot of things that I barely knew too. And surprisingly my view towards life, somehow, changes slowly.I'm sure you guys will get the chance too if we all just don't stop trying and another thing, don't let your feelings or emotions control over you, that's what stop you from moving forward (who did I hear that from? ) So just keep

You guys should really try teaching tuition especially you the future teachers=P

So anyway, what's my point here? I don't really know. All I'm saying is, if by chance there is any D&D activity that coincides with my work, I am so sorry you guys but I have to take priority over my work first. I am sure all of you would agree if you guys are standing in my shoes or start working already (which reminds me, I am the only D&D who's working at the moment right? not enough with that I am struggling between two jobs you guys. Yus and Chim start working already?)

And by saying all that, I have to ask Chique, our President, if I may be excused from all secretariat job for the rest on the holidays? Thanks for your understanding Chique

But guys! This does not mean I am backing out ok! I won't give up on D&D! Being a part of the society meant a lot to me (and I do hope you guys feel the same, not just by words..but actions too) and D&D society have become a family to me, so no way I am giving up on my family . Although at times I do feel like some of you, or on some of you, your ignorance can really push me to and turn me into after all this is who we all are.

Oh yes, one more thing I forgot to mention is about my involvement in church being part of the youth delegation to the world youth day in Sydney this coming July. Recently I had a camping trip of which through there I learnt about different individual's characters and why they behave in such a way. I tried to understand it, and I guess that is how I learnt that the D&Ds composed of very different individuals so we just have to bear with each other True enough I know we are of different religious beliefs, but it doesn't matter right? we still live in the same world anyway kan. hehe

so I've written too long already-.- I'm sure some of you might while reading this. Which is another reason why I've customized this post with so many emoticons. OH I am so proud of myself for trying to make this blog alive

A Simple Story of True Love and True Care

I was born in a secluded village on a mountain. Day by day, my parents plowed the yellow dry soil with their backs towards the sky.

I have a brother who is 3 years younger than me. I wanted to buy a handkerchief, which all girls around me seemed to have. So, one day I stole 50 cents from my father's drawer. Father had discovered about the stolen money right away.

He made me and my younger brother kneel against the wall as he held a bamboo stick in his hand. "Who stole the money?" he asked. I was stunned, too afraid to talk. Neither of us admitted to the fault, so he said, "Fine, if nobody wants to admit, you two should be beaten!"

He lifted up the bamboo stick. Suddenly, my younger brother gripped father's hand and said," Dad, I was the one who did it!" The long stick smacked my brother's back repeatedly. Father was so angry that he kept on whipping my brother until he lost his breath. After that, he sat down on our stone bed and scolded my brother, "You have learned to steal from your own house now. What other embarrassing things will you be possibly doing in the future? You should be beaten to death, you shameless thief!"

That night, my mother and I hugged my brother. His body was full of wounds from the beating but he never shed a single tear. In the middle of the night, all of sudden, I cried out loudly. My brother covered my mouth with his little hand and said, " Sis, now don't cry anymore. Everything has happened."

I still hate myself for not having enough courage to admit what I did.

Years gone by, but the incident still seemed like it just happened yesterday. I will never forget my brother's expression when he protected me.

That year, my brother was 8 years old and I was 11 years old. When my brother was in his last year of secondary school, he was accepted in an upper secondary school in the central. At the same time, I was accepted into a university in the province. That night, father squatted in the yard, smoking, packet by packet.

I could hear him ask my mother, "Both of our children, they have good results? very good results?" Mother wiped off her tears and sighed," What is the use? How can we possibly finance both of them?" At that time, my brother walked out, he stood in front of father and said,"Dad, I don't want to continue my study anymore, I have read enough books."

Father swung his hand and slapped my brother on his face. "Why do you have a spirit so damn weak? Even if it means I have to beg for money on the
streets, I will send you two to school until you have both finished your study!"

And then, he started to knock on every house in the village to borrow money. I stuck out my hand as gently as I can to my brother's swollen face, and told him, "A boy has to continue his study; If not, he will not be able to overcome this poverty we are experiencing."

I, on the other hand, had decided not to further my study at the university. Nobody knew that on the next day, before dawn, my brother left the house with a few pieces of worn-out clothes and a few dry beans. He sneaked to my side of the bed and left a note on my pillow; "Sis, getting into a university is not easy. I will go find a job and I will send money to you."

I held the note while sitting on my bed, and cried until I lost my voice.

That year, my brother was 17 years old; I was 20 years old. With the money father borrowed from the whole village, and the money my brother earned from carrying cement on his back at a construction site,finally, I managed to get to the third year of my study in the university.

One day, while I was studying in my room, my roommate came in and told me,"There's a villager waiting for you outside!" Why would there be a
villager looking for me? I walked out, and I saw my brother from afar. His whole body was covered with dirt, dust, cement and sand. I asked him, "Why
did you not tell my roommate that you are my
brother?"

He replied with a smile," Look at my appearance. What will they think if they would know that I am your brother? Won't they laugh at you?" I felt
so touched, and tears filled my eyes. I swept away dirt and dust from my brother's body. And told him with a lump in my throat, " I don't care what people
would say! You are my brother no matter what your appearance is?"

From his pocket, he took out a butterfly hair clip. He put it on my hair and said, "I saw all the girls in town are wearing it. So, I think you should also have one." I could not hold back myself anymore. I pulled my brother into my arms and cried.

That year, my brother was 20 years old; I was 23 years old. I noticed that the broken window was repaired the first time I brought my boyfriend home.

The house was scrubbed cleaned. After my boyfriend left, I danced like a little girl in
front of my mother, "Mom, you didn't have to spend so much time cleaning the house!" But she told me with a smile," It was your brother who went home early to clean the house. Didn't you see
the wound on his hand? He hurt his hand while he was replacing the window."

I went into my brother's bedroom. Looking at his thin face, I felt like there are hundreds of needle pricked in my heart. I applied some ointment on his wound and put a bandage on it, "Does it hurt? " I asked him. "No, it doesn't hurt. You know, when at the construction site, stones keep falling on my feet. Even that could not stop me from working." In the middle of the sentence, he stopped. I turned
my back on him and tears rolled down my face.

That year, my brother was 23 years old; I was 26 years old. After I got married, I lived in the city. Many times my husband invited my parents to
come and live with us, but they didn't want. They said, once they left the village,they wouldn't know what to do. My brother agreed with them. He
said, "Sis, you just take care of your parents-in-law. I will take care of mom and dad here."

My husband became the director of his factory. We asked my brother to accept the offer of being the manager in the maintenance department. But my
brother rejected the offer. He insisted on working as a repairman instead for a start.

One day, my brother was on the top of a ladder repairing a cable, when he got electrocuted, and was sent to the hospital. My husband and I visited
him at the hospital. Looking at the white gypsum on his leg, I grumbled,"Why did you reject the offer of being a manager? Managers won't do something dangerous like that. Now look at you, You are suffering a serious injury. Why didn't you just listen to us?"

With a serious expression on his face, he defended his decision, "Think of brother-in-law. He just became the director, and I being uneducated, and
would become a manager, what kind of rumors would fly around?" My husband's eyes filled up with tears, and then I said, "But you lack in education only because of me!" "Why do you talk about the past?" he said and then he held my hand.

That year, he was 26 years old and I was 29 years old. My brother was 30 years old when he married a farmer girl from the village. During the wedding reception, the master of ceremonies asked him, "Who is the one person you respect and love the most?"

Without even taking a time to think, he answered," My sister." He continued by telling a story I could not even remember.

"When I was in primary school, the school was in a different village. Everyday, my sister and I would walk for 2 hours to school and back home.

One day, I lost the other pair of my gloves. My sister gave me one of hers. She wore only one glove and she had to walk far. When we got home, her hands were trembling because of the cold weather that she could not even hold her chopsticks.

From that day on, I swore that as long as I live, I would take care of my sister and will always be good to her." Applause filled up the room. All guests turned their attention to me. I found it hard to speak, "In my whole life, the one I would like to thank most is my brother," And in this happy occasion,in front of the crowd, tears were rolling down my face again.

WYWY Says ‘Tainted Pau’ Issue Resolved By James Kon

Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abd Rahman bin Pehin Khatib Abdullah, the Head of Halal Food Control Section (C) during the press conference.

Bandar Seri Begawan - WYWY Chicken Rice Restaurant yesterday said that with the assistance of Halal Food Control Section, Department of Syariah Affairs under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and a number of government agencies the confusion over the issue of ' Special pau', which was reported to contain pork enzyme, has been resolved.

The incident took place on April 4, 2008.

The owner of the restaurant stressed that all food at the restaurant is Halal and customers can patronise all its restaurant branches without any doubts.

The owner has also apologised to all, especially Muslim customers, about the confusion.

Pengiran Siti Norkarimah binti Pg Anak Hj Hashim, one of the owners, said, "All our ingredients are Halal and come from the local market and why would we be jeopardising our own business by putting in contaminated ingredients."

Meanwhile, in a press statement issued by Halal Food Control Section, Department of Syariah Affairs under the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the department informed that a report concerning the special dumplings sold at WYWY Restaurant on April 4, 2008, discovered an unintended contamination of ingredients.

Due to the finding, the owner who is a Muslim has temporarily ceased to sell the special dumplings starting April 4. However, the special dumplings will be available as soon as the authorities have clarified from their analysis which of the ingredients are contaminated and are not suitable in the making of dumplings. The ingredients will then be replaced.

As a safety measure and to regain the public's trust, both parties from the Halal Food Control section, Department of Syariah Affairs and the owner of WYWY Restaurant have agreed to clean up the utensils of the restaurant in accordance with the Syara' Law.

The cleansing of the utensils has been done in all WYWY Restaurant branches under the supervision of the officers from the Halal Food Control Section on May 16, 2008.

In a press conference at the WYWY chicken rice branch in Sungai Tilong, Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abd Rahman bin Pehin Khatib Abdullah, Head of Halal Food Control Section, when asked about the contaminated ingredients, said, "It's the responsibility of the laboratory, we have not yet been informed of the ingredients."

Unintended...Hmmm....Seriously, this thing is rather misleading, and I feel like there are a few missing facts...Like, what do they mean by unintended...The deapartment's mistake or the restaurant itself...hmm...

Anyway, they cleaned they're stuff...So...Wthell...haha

I have faith in the owner...Till I get more facts...Huhu. Besides, the restaurant has been making so good of a progress so far, why would they want to jeopardise they're own business anyway? I've made my research, and I am still searching and reading thru watever I have now...So yeah, I'll write as soon as I find more stuff on this...

And yeah, it still depends on you Muslims out there, don't go if u are still hesitating, mun was was jantah dulu, to stay on the safe side. I on the other hand, refuse to bow to any rumours and stay with the facts. There has yet to be concrete evidence as to the rstaurant is Haram overall and that it was intended by the owner to use any pork ingredient in their pau...

Bukit Kukob Trip plus Pantai Seri Kenangan

Here are some pictures I took. Arin, Chiem+friend & I went to Bukit Kukob this morning. We also went to an unplanned stop to Pantai Seri Kenangan. I personally never went to Pantai Seri Kenangan. People say it's beautiful. It's alright. The sound of the breeze, the waves and the ocean was calming for me.

Guess what we saw on the ground... Can you see it? Have NO idea what it's called. Tehee. [F] saw a lot of weird, intriguing insects. If only I had sample bottles.

One of our purposes was to become... camwhores~! HAHA.

Kami lagi.

Oh oh~ This is interesting. Okay, the trip was actually for students from one of the secondary schools in Tutong. There were students under the Science Club and also the Adventure Club. We tagged along the Adventure club. [F] was one of the volunteers. He showed them kids survival skills and how to build tents and make high-tech 'flushable' toilets (HAHA, NOT!). It was all pretty exciting to me. I mean, yeah, I put on a tent once. But that was back then. These tents can fit 8 people! Cool jua tu~!

Note: Guy in white teaching how to tie a knot. Tehee...

And VOILA~! The tent is set! Awesome!

Ladies and gents... Just to inform you that my friend, [F] sort of invited us to join him and his friends (photobloggers from www.darimatakecilku.com) to a camping trip to Bukit Kukub (somewhere in Tutong).

Date: 30th and 31st May.
Time: 8am onwards.

I just thought I'd mention it here on our blog. Sounds like an interesting and fun trip. Just to have fun, relax, for a change of scenery or whatever... Tehee.

So, what do you think? Wanna go? I'd want to. May be a good idea to release tension or just plain have fun and mingle with new people...

Hello Ladies and Gents~!

Since exams are almost over, I thought that now would be an okay time to update you all on what's coming up for our lil society;)

For your information, our jerseys are with me. Hopefully we will be meeting on this 14th May. If you guys can make it, please come see me and I'll hand you your jersey. I personally LOVE the jersey but can't help but feel a lil bit unhappy because of the neckline. Our order was a v-neckline jersey. But the factory where they had it made couldn't make the bloody v-neck because it's an ADIDAS A-grade design. So, to those who wanted the v-neck as bad as I wanted it, my apologies. We couldn't really blame the place where we got it made. (The place is called the Imperiall Sports, by the way.) FORTUNATELY, we were able to make a good bargain in return!:) The deal before was that each jersey costs $35 PLUS your name (which costs $1 per letter). The NEW bargain was that our names are for FREE and all we have to pay is $35! To those who paid for the jersey PLUS name, you could ask for your remaining money back... or you could place it in our D&D fund. Don't forget the monthly $10 + $1 for the D & D fund guys... :) Gentle reminder.

Another update... There will be an AKJ meeting soon. So, AJKs, be prepared! Treasurer, be sure to work on the financial log and reports. Secretaries, minutes please. Vice presidents, (yang abis exam sudah) prepare meeting agendas please.

We (Hiong, Lee, Dayat and I) went to Imperial Sports this morning to deal with the jersey making agenda.

So here goes the update:
(This is all finalized so no further changes can be done.)
The price of the jersey is $35.
This includes:
-a FREE pair of shorts.
-our logo being made and stuck on the jersey
-your numbers on the back of the jersey and also on the shorts.

Letterings on your jerseys is costing $1 each letter. So you guys do the math for how much you will have to pay for your jersey including your names. There may be a possibility that the price of the letterings can be negotiable. I'll update you all on this matter as soon as I know.

PUNCTUALITY

Punctuality is not my strongest points, granted, I am most of the time the one who comes late but I always try to come on time, if not earlier. But I am not here to stress about my punctuality, I am rarely late more than 30 minutes or so, I am here to stress about the recurring lateness of some of the members of our society.

Boys, and I do mean the hostelites excluding Wan (Cos Wan is rarely late) this habit of coming late MUST NOT continue. We girls most especially the president do not like to wait. We hate waiting, okay? If you are late, then everything runs late and we won't have time for more activities.

Punctuality is important, if we want to spend quality time together.

Punctuality is important if we want to have a study group and maximise the limited time that we have.

Punctuality is important because time is always passing us by and we can't get it back.

Punctuality is important because the time we arranged to meet is a promise and we never, ever back out on promises.

So please, please try to be punctual and if you can't PLEASE, PLEASE inform us of your delay and your reasons so we can at least be relieved that you're alright and you're just caught up with some errand.

Its a bad habit, coming late, not once, or twice but most of the time. Its just bad, okay? Its one trait a girl will never find appealing in a man, because we don't like to be kept waiting.

First D&D Official Meeting.

The first D & D Official Meeting will be held on the 8th March 2008, Saturday. The time and venue is yet to be confirmed. Please try and make it on that day. Pencil it in into your schedule =) Afternoon onwards. Okay?

A lot of the society's agenda will be featured to you all in this meeting. So, your attendance is vital and very much appreciated.

Ladies and Gents, I will now lay down the 411 on the jersey making plan that we have for us. I will post up a few things here:

The designs (choose whichever, most votes win),

and we're (the AJK's) were wondering if you all are willing to spend about $ 30 of your allowance/income on the jersey.

The colour scheme of the shirt will be MAROON and BLACK.

Us AJKs are proposing that we have a trip to KB. Why? Because most of us have not been there for a while. Plus, it's an opportunity to crash our KB friend's crib, Wan! Tehee. Kidding. Wan will lead the way and bring us around. A road trip!
